Asian persimmon fruits are so yummy and healthy to eat! You can eat them fresh off the tree, use in baked goods, or preserve into jams or jellies for later use. One of our favorites is persimmon pie or ice cream! Use the fresh jelly on waffles or crepe. Add to your fruit tree orchard with heavy producing persimmon trees. They plant well with other fruit trees like mulberry, avocado, guava, calamondin, kumquat, pawpaw, peach, jujube, cherry, mango, loquat, apricot, grape, pear, plum, or goji berries. Japanese persimmons are sweet and juicy. Fuyu Jiro is a non-astringent variety meaning it will get soft when it is ready to eat it. Other varieties stay crisp like an apple. This tree will not ship bare root. They are rooted in their nursery container with a large root system. It's no secret why gardeners all over are growing persimmon fruits for their health! It is called the fruit of the gods for a reason. Trees are grafted from cutting and not grown from seeds. Please be sure to plant this tree outside. It is not for indoor growing. Flowers will blossom in early spring and fruit will be ready in fall.
